WE NEED YOUR HELP!!
We currently have 41 children on our list - we would like to clear the list by Christmas so please find it in your hearts to sponsor a child today.
JAMES - CHD
James was born on 23rd May 2014 with transposition of the great arteries.
He likes playing football and golf and loves superheroes and playing with his big sister. He doesn't like needles, hospital stays or SATS machines.
He is brave in every sense of the word and has overcome so much in his short life and does it all with a smile. He's such a happy little boy and never lets anything stand in his way, even if at times he struggles.
His conditions affect the family greatly and impacts on his older sister's life. She has experienced things that many adults haven't but it has made their sibling bond so much stronger.
James has developed other conditions as well as CHD including autoimmune conditions, food allergies, asthma and recently, hypoglycemic episodes which result in hospital admittance.
James' family's hope for the future: "That we can get all of little one's issues under control and he goes on to lead a long and happy life!! Very cliche but it's all we hope for!"
Sponsorship would mean the world to James. His regular hospital visits involved packing certain clothes to make him feel safe and comfortable - like his favourite onesie.
"James is now too big for the onesie and it has finally gone into his memory box so it would be nice for him to have something that he'll never grow out of for hospital visits. It would be amazing for him to know that stranger cared enough to help him and give him a story to tell when he's older".

JORDAN, JOSHUA AND JOSEPH - Carers
Jordan 14, Joshua 9 and Joseph 5 help me care for their two-year-old little sister, Ruby. She was born with many congenital abnormalities of her organs, skeletal, cardiac, renal and gastro-intestinal it's a condition called vacterl association. She has had 16 surgeries to-date, is 100% jejunostomy fed and globally developmentally delayed. She chokes on her secretions daily. She takes a lot of my time and needs constantly watched due to her choking. The boys are a great help and have taken it all in their stride, even when it means Ruby takes up a lot of my time and we spend lots of time away for appointments or in hospital.
REECE - CARER
Reece is 10 years old and a registered carer to his three SWAN (Syndrome Without A Name) siblings and disabled parent.
He is a beautiful soul that never complains and just gets on with life.
Something his teacher said to me that makes me proud to my bones:
"Reece is the most compassionate boy we have ever had, not just in our class but in our whole school. He is the first to comfort or encourage other children and shows great care to all his peers".
We are so very proud of this young man. He doesn't get to do half day schooling due to appointments but he wishes he could. He doesn't get bravery awards like his siblings but he shows bravery every single day.
Young carers are easily overlooked...its time to show these very important children how invaluable they are.
Our Reece....amazing inside and out x
